Joseph Hicks hit a tiebreaking double in the fourth inning to lift the San Angelo Colts to a 4-3 victory over the Fort Worth Cats on Wednesday night at Foster Field.

The Cats raced to an early lead in the first inning on a solo home run by David Bergen, who has homered in three consecutive games, and added two more runs in the second on some sloppy defense by San Angelo.

The lead didn’t last long. Trailing 3-1, Colts’ first basemen Steve Rinaudo had a two-run double to tie the game.

Colts starting pitcher Eric Sheridan pitched eight innings with seven strikeouts for his third consecutive victory.

The Cats still need just one more win to clinch first place in United League Baseball.
