Star-Telegram golf writer Jimmy Burch handicaps his top 10 picks, with odds, to win the 2013 PGA Championship:

-1 Tiger Woods World’s top-ranked golfer has won everything except a major this season. It’s time for that to change.

-1 Adam Scott Talented Aussie has elevated his efforts in golf’s biggest events, starting with 2013 Masters title.

-1 Phil Mickelson Lefty won last month’s British Open, should be a solid fit on Oak Hill layout.

-1 Hunter Mahan Before recent break adjusting to fatherhood, Mahan finished T-4 (U.S. Open), T-9 (British Open) in past two majors.

-1 Henrik Stenson Swede is a stellar ball-striker heading to a course where that skill will be at a premium.

-1 Zach Johnson Oak Hill and Colonial have some similar characteristics. And few are better at Colonial.

-1 Brandt Snedeker Two-time winner this season usually is in Sunday mix, owns one of game’s top putting strokes.

-1 Major heartbreakers Veterans Lee Westwood, Luke Donald and Ian Poulter have world-class talent. Yet all seek first major title.

-1 Angel Cabrera Two-time major champion (2007 U.S. Open, 2009 Masters) capable of adding PGA title to his collection.

-1 Matt Kuchar PGA Tour’s most efficient top 10 machine can make the leap to major champion by making more timely putts.
