A woman was fatally stabbed early Friday during a fight at a Fort Worth apartment complex, police said.

Tyuana Clark, 18, died 1:43 a.m. Friday in the emergency room at Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth Hospital, the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office reported.

About an hour earlier, officers were called to the Bellagio Apartments in the 3000 block of Las Vegas Trail where they found Clark and another woman injured.

The other woman was treated at a hospital and released, homicide Sgt. Cheryl Johnson said.

Earlier reports stated a man had been stabbed in the chest, but Johnson said the fight involved only women.

Other reports stated the women fought over a boyfriend, but Johnson said she had no information about that.

“There’s no male involved or even one being a precipitating factor,” Johnson said.

No arrest was reported by late Friday.

Staff writer Bill Miller contributed to this report.
