Bethlehem celebrates Person of Honor

Hubert and Patricia Robinson were honored as Bethlehem Baptist Church’s Persons of Honor during the church’s 143rd Homecoming Anniversary on July 7.

The Robinsons met over 30 years ago on the campus of Tuskegee University. They married June 20, 1987. They moved to Texas in August of 1994 and a month later they were blessed with a daughter, Shanta Patrice, and six years later a son, Royce Ray. Hubert and Patricia joined Bethlehem Baptist Church on Dec. 20,1998.

Hubert Ray Robinson Jr. was born Aug. 31, 1962, in Syracuse, N.Y., to Hubert and Earsie (deceased) Robinson Sr. He graduated from North Syracuse High School and received a BBA from Tuskegee, where he was a member of the Tuskegee Golden Voices. He is a sales consultant with Crest Infiniti.

Hubert has served in the church’s marriage ministry, played keyboards and organ, served in audio visual production and technology ministry and as the church DJ.

Patricia R. Stallworth Robinson was born Jan. 28,1964, in Mt. Vernon, Ala., to Lonnie (deceased) and Nettie Stallworth. Patricia graduated from Citronelle High School in Citronelle, Ala., received a BS degree in early childhood education from Tuskegee and a master’s degree in school counseling from Amberton University. She is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and currently is a counselor at Carol Holt Elementary School.

She has served in the church’s marriage ministry, announcement clerk, decision team, education department, coordinator for the Women’s Mission Choir, Mass Choir and the Sanctuary Choir and participated in the mission trip to Japan.
