Roo Baseball 10-U finishes as runner-up in Oklahoma

Roo Baseball 10-U recently traveled to Broken Arrow, Okla., to compete in the USSSA 10-U AA Boys World Series tournament and finished as runner up with a record of 7-2.

The boys competed against teams from Arkansas, Missouri and Oklahoma.

After tournament pool play, Roo Baseball earned the No. 1 overall seed and began bracket play, which produced 28 games amongst 13 teams within a double-elimination format. Opening Day ceremonies saw the boys compete in the skills competition consisting of a home run derby, base running relay and around the horn throwing challenge. Roo Baseball won first place in the base running relay and second in the around the horn throwing challenge.

“The boys had a wonderful experience and were rewarded a beautiful glass globe trophy from the United States Sports Specialty Association,” a press release noted.

The tournament ended a Roo Baseball season with a record 39-14-2 including one tournament championship, one tournament runner-up and an undefeated stint in Pony Elite league play in Southwest Fort Worth.
