Sidewalks and safetyFor several years I have witnessed a lot of development in Keller. I think that the intersection that was recently put in on Mount Gilead road and Bourland road was a good idea, but it can still be improved. Currently, children have to either walk or ride their bikes through the uneven grassy area or on the road. Since there is no shoulder on the road, this is very unsafe. I believe that if the city were to put in a sidewalk in front of the Mount Gilead Ranch subdivision, it would create a safer route for the children of the Mount Gilead Ranch and Overton Ridge subdivisions attending the Marshall Ridge elementary school to get to their safely rather than having to be driven by their parents. Since Mount Gilead road is already under construction, I was curious as to why they couldn’t also put in the sidewalk right up the entrance to the subdivision. Not only would this reduce traffic, but it would also save families money on gas. Also, when they built the intersection they conveniently built a strip of sidewalk that leads right to the school, so all they need now is one more block of sidewalk to connect the route to the Mount Gilead Ranch subdivision. Please take this into consideration, Noah Hillebrand, Keller
