Fort Worth Cats rally in ninth to edge San Angelo

Kori Melo highlighted a two-run ninth-inning rally with a walkoff single, leading the Cats to a come-from-behind 6-5 victory over San Angelo at LaGrave Field on Monday night.

Trailing 5-4 going into the ninth, Fort Worth strung together four singles and a hit batter for the victory.

With one out, Mark Sobolewski had the first of three consecutive singles. Bishop singled, as did Greg Bachman, who went 4-for-5.

Ryan Miller was hit by a pitch, which tied the game 5-5.

Melo followed with his game-winning hit.

San Angelo jumped to a 3-0 lead in the second inning.

But the Cats fought back with two runs in the in the third and single runs in the fourth and sixth.
