Police have issued an arrest warrant for a 27-year man in the death of his 23-year-old girlfriend who was found dead Sunday night in her Mansfield apartment.

Devon Delarosa was found dead in the living room of her apartment after police were called to check on her. The apartment is in 600 block of Kingsway Drive, according to a Tarrant County medical examiner's report.

Police had been calling Anthony Raymont Ford “a person of interest” and on Monday afternoon said an arrest warrant had been issued.

“Investigators in the Kingsway homicide case have obtained enough information to issue a warrant for Anthony R. Ford for murder,” Mansfield police said in a news release. “Bond has been set at $100,000. Mr. Ford has not been located and is still at large. It is unknown if he is armed but should be considered dangerous.”

One neighbor told KTVT-Channel 11 that there were screams around 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the apartment, then Ford was seen driving off.

He was last seen driving a 2004 black, two-door Pontiac Grand Am GT with a missing right front hubcap. The license plate is CZ8W738.

Anyone with information about the woman’s death or the whereabouts of Ford are asked to contact Mansfield police at 817-473-0211.
