The Fort Worth Cats swept a doubleheader against the San Angelo Colts on Sunday night, but also has lost its leading hitter and hottest pitcher to another league.

In Game 1, Greg Bachman’s ninth-inning sacrifice fly with no outs scored Daniel Meeley to give the Cats a 7-6 extra-innings win over the Colts.

Kori Melo led off the inning with a single and scored on Meeley's double. A wild pitch moved Meeley to third.

Scheduled for seven innings as the front of a doubleheader, the game went nine after Cody Bishop singled in a run in the seventh to tie it 5-5.

In the second game, Bachman's two-run single in the first inning gave the Cats a lead they never relinquished in a 5-1 victory.

James Giulietti gave up no earned runs in six innings for the victory in his first start since early June.

The Cats announced on their website that Aljay Davis, hitting .337, and pitcher Aaron Wilkerson, with a United League-leading 8-1 record along with a 2.67 ERA, will join the Florence (Ky.) Freedom of the Frontier League after Sunday’s game.

Fort Worth wraps up a three-game series against the Colts at 7:05 p.m. Monday at LaGrave Field.
