Gunman kills man at Fort Worth apartment complex

_ A man stepping outside of his apartment was shot and killed Monday night by a gunman who had gone to the complex looking for the victim, police said Tuesday.

The name of the victim, who police described as a Hispanic man, had not been released by authorities.

No one has been arrested in the case as of Tuesday morning.

The shooting was reported shortly before 9:30 p.m. Monday at the Arbors Apartments in the 3700 block of Vaucluse Drive in far east Fort Worth near the Dallas//Fort Worth Airport.

Officers responded to a report of a shooting at the complex.

When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, police said Tuesday. The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Through the investigation, authorities determined that the suspect had arrived at the complex looking for the victim, police said.

At some point, the victim stepped out of his apartment and the gunman fired numerous times, police said.
