Arlington police are investigating a triple shooting that occurred early Friday on a junior high campus on Sublett Drive.

The incident occurred just after 1 a.m. at Barnett Junior High School in the southeast part of the city. One or more groups of people were hanging out at the campus when gunfire erupted, said Arlington police spokeswoman Tiara Richard.

Paramedics took a man with a gunshot wound to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth. About the same time, two more men with gunshot wounds showed up at the emergency room at Medical Center of Arlington off Matlock Road.

All three men are about 19 or 20 years old. Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening, Richard said.
