The FBI is placing billboards throughout the Fort Worth-Dallas area asking for information leading to the killer of a 6-year-old Saginaw girl.

The billboards carry the numbers for two tip lines — 682-858-3682 and 682-888-3684 — and note the $10,000 reward offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who killed Alanna Gallagher last week.

The “billboards will be located throughout the DFW Metroplex, but exactly where I do not know,” said officer Damon Ing, the Saginaw police spokesman.

Alanna’s body was found the evening of July 1 beneath a tarp on a residential Saginaw street about a mile from her family’s home on Babbling Brook Drive.

Saginaw police, FBI agents, Texas Rangers and officers from other agencies are investigating. The Tarrant County medical examiner’s office has not reported the cause of her death.

Alanna’s funeral is 11 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Richland Hills.
