Dallas Stars General Manager Jim Nill announced Monday that the club signed free agent center Chris Mueller to a one-year contract. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Mueller, 27, split the 2012-13 regular season between Nashville Predators and the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. He posted five points in 18 NHL contests with Nashville, including his first career NHL goal on March 19 at Columbus. In 55 games played for Milwaukee, he finished third on the team with 36 points and second in goals.Entering his sixth full season of professional hockey, Mueller has recorded eight points in 37 career regular season NHL games. He has also skated in 323 career AHL contests for Milwaukee, Lake Erie and Grand Rapids, posting 189 career points. Mueller has registered 17 career points in 25 career Calder Cup Playoffs games.Briefly• Rangers: New York made defenseman Ryan McDonagh the team’s highest-paid blueliner.
