At the meeting, trustees approved Stephanie Espinosa as the principal of Lakeview Elementary School. Espinosa had been the principal of Northwest’s Seven Hills Elementary.“We are looking forward to the talent and enthusiasm she will bring to the campus and community,” Superintendent Karen Rue said.Espinosa has worked in Northwest since 2007. She was principal at Seven Hills for five years and began her career in the district as a classroom instructional teacher at Seven Hills in 2007. Her experience spans from the classroom to an assessment specialist to an assistant principal in Fort Worth and Crowley school districts. Espinosa will begin her new role at Lakeview in the 2013-14 school year.“I am excited to return to Lakeview Elementary,” Espinosa said. “As a resident of Trophy Club, I’m looking forward to serving the students, staff and community.”Espinosa earned her doctorate in education administration at Nova Southeastern University in May. She holds a master’s degree in education administration and a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Texas Christian University. This spring, she was one of 50 Texas principals selected to participate in a cohort of top public school campus leaders at the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
