A 10-year-old boy and a woman were fatally shot Monday evening in east Fort Worth, police reported.

Another woman wounded in the shooting was in grave condition at 10 p.m., said Cpl. Tracy Knight, a police spokeswoman.

A “person of interest” was being questioned by homicide detectives, Knight said.

Knight said she had no information about the person, or how the victims might be related.

Officers were called at 6:15 p.m. to the 2900 block of Pate Drive. When they arrived, they found the women, 34 and 21, and the boy wounded by gunfire, she said.

The neighborhood is east of the intersection of Miller Avenue and East Berry Street.
