Perry vs. Davis

Thanks to Gov. Perry for immediately calling for a second special session of the Legislature. It is vital that Texas show the rest of the nation that we won’t submit to mob tactics.

Wendy Davis has the right to filibuster, misguided though she is. But it was appalling to see the peanut gallery mob disrupt the Senate to prevent a vote on this vital bill to protect the rights of unborn children.

Davis would protect the “right of a woman to determine how to manage her own body,” but she gives no consideration to the rights of the fetus.

Surely 99-plus percent of women realize that a potential outcome of sexual intercourse is pregnancy. Abortion should not be considered as after-the-fact birth control.
