Makes little sense

I would have to go through a rigorous background check to attend the Nov. 22 memorial observance in Dallas marking the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

But I can walk into a gun show and buy whatever I want without a background check? That doesn’t make a lot of sense.

And if they’re going to do background checks before you can attend a public gathering, can requiring a background check before buying tickets to Six Flags or a baseball or football game be far behind?

Where will the line be drawn? Will there even be a line?
