hCheers: To caring staff at Emerald Hills Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in North Richland Hills. Their smiles and positive attitudes helped me through a difficult time during my short-term stay. Not only was the food good and the physical therapy excellent, any concern I had was dealt with quickly and efficiently.

— Nancy Franklin, North Richland Hills

iJeers: To the residents who don’t turn their sprinkler system off for at least a cycle after a good rain. Most residents in Fort Worth don’t know or care, but we’re on a water restriction program, which means limited watering. Just think on the selfish level and save money.

— Morris Gordon,

Fort Worth

hCheers: To the good Samaritan who came to our grandson’s aid after his accident on Loop 820 at Rufe Snow Drive June 14. You put yourself in danger by stopping traffic while you helped him escape from his overturned car. Thank you, too, to the EMTs who were there within minutes.

— Jim and Carolyn Stryker,

Benbrook
