Meet Sable.

She is an unknown mix and was surrendered by her owner with two other dogs who have both been adopted. She is scared and lonely in the shelter. Because she came from a home we think she might be house trained. She is mellow, quiet and good with other dogs. She knows sit and will give her paw to shake. She is such a sweet girl and would make a great addition to any family and would be ever so grateful. She has has been overlooked for a month and deserves to find her very own forever home like the other dogs.

If you might be interested in Sable or any of her other friends, they can be visited at the Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter Tuesday –Saturday 11 a.m.-4 pm, with extended hours on Wednesday and Friday until 6 p.m. Or, visit the Animal Shelter’s website and see all of Sable friends at

All adoptions are $40. All adoptions include their sterilization, vaccinations, microchip and all the love that they will bring to your family.

For those who can’t adopt but would still like to help, Weatherford Parker County Animal Shelter always appreciates donations of cat litter, dog food, cat food, trash bags, cleaning supplies, as well as monetary donations.
