Fort Worth boxers Juan Antonio (Tony) Lopez and James DeHerrera, a pair of rising stars, are among the headliners as the Bud Light Pro Fight series moves to the College Park Center on the University of Texas at Arlington campus on Friday.

Standing 8 promotions has a seven-bout card titled Texas Pride and includes Lopez (3-0) going against Guadalupe Perez of Dallas and DeHerrera (1-0) taking on Heron Saucedo Jr. (0-1) of McKinney. There’s also an all-Arlington card with Mike Lemelle (1-0-1) fighting Dante Francisco Sollano (1-0).

The main event features Albert Rodriguez (9-1, 4 KOs) of McKinney taking on Esteban Almarez (10-5, 4 KOs) of Harlingen in an eight-round welterweight fight.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. The first fight starts at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets start at $20 and can be purchased online at www.utatickets.com or by calling the UTA box office at 817-272-9595.

Mark Elfenbein from 105.3 The Fan is the ring announcer.

General Gavin Dawson and Chris Arnold of 105.3 The Fan’s “G-Bag Nation” will broadcast live from the event.

One dollar of every ticket sale will benefit Fort Worth Metro, an inner-city nonprofit organization committed to serving children and families of the poverty-stricken areas of DFW.
