Alcohol may have been a factor in a crash Saturday night that killed the driver of a pickup when his vehicle collided with a car, overturned and caught fire, police said Sunday.

Jason Stone, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene Saturday night. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner has not issued a cause of death.

The pickup collided with a sedan on Fielder Road, flipped and burned, police said.

The crash occurred about 9 p.m. at Fielder and Pecan Park Drive, less than a mile south of Interstate 30.

A sedan was traveling south on Fielder and the pickup was eastbound on Pecan Park Drive when they collided at the intersection, which is controlled by a traffic light, Sgt. Christopher Cook, an Arlington police spokesman, said in a news release.

A man and a woman in the sedan were taken to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening, police said.

Police did not say which driver may have been intoxicated.
