Tarrant County elections officials on Saturday carried out a recount in the Fort Worth school board district 9 race and came up with the same results for the June 8 runoff election.

Event coordinator Ashley Paz won the runoff with 944 votes over incumbent Juan Rangel, a consultant, who garnered 921 votes, according to results posted on the elections website.

Rangel had requested the recount.

The school board is scheduled to swear in Paz on Tuesday.

West Texas authorities say another man has died in an oilfield-related accident, the second fatality in a two-day period.

The Howard County Sheriff's Office says Earthco employees were working Thursday on a large heater tank used to prepare oil for transport when it rolled onto a man. The 59-year-old Juan Manual Estrada-Duarte of Big Spring was pinned against another piece of equipment.

Another Big Spring man died Wednesday in the collapse of an oil rig owned by Heartland Drilling of Abilene.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is expected to investigate the workers' deaths.
