A 22-year-old Dallas was fatally injured Thursday afternoon when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into the back of tractor-trailer in the 2100 block of North Belt Line Road, police said.

Julian Miralrio was taken by ambulance to Methodist Dallas Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police Sgt. Eric Hansen said in a news release.

The wreck was reported at 3:15 p.m.

Miralrio was a passenger in a 2009 Toyota Camry that was northbound on Belt Line when it crashed into the back of the tractor-trailer, which had stopped at a red light for Lone Star Park Gate 1, police said.

The driver of the Camry, John Bentnick, 22, of Irving was also taken by ambulance to Methodist Dallas, where he was listed in serious condition, police said.

Meanwhile, the driver of the 18-wheeler was taken in good condition to Texas General Hospital in Grand Prairie.

The wreck was still under investigation Thursday, Hansen said.

Miralrio’s death was the 13th traffic fatality in Grand Prairie this year, Hansen said.
