Jeers: To people who talk during the student speeches at commencement exercises. Your lack of manners and common courtesy prevents those around you from hearing the speeches. Also, if an older person is looking for a seat, allow her to have the aisle seat. The rules prohibited saving seats.

— Kelley Talley, Fort Worth

Cheers: And much gratitude to Harold Swoape at Lexa’s Flowers for the beauty-filled arrangement of sunflowers, Gerbera daisies and calla lilies that he created for the chancel window of University Christian Church for a recent Sunday service to honor the 50th anniversary of the ordination of my husband, Charles Sanders.

— Anne Sanders, Fort Worth

Jeers: To the insurance agent who, when I canceled my auto insurance, sent me a couple of emails stating that he couldn’t believe I dumped him and that I needed counseling, and he was instructing the insurance company to bill me $14 just to make me mad.

— Beverly Moore, Arlington
