The mercury reached 92 Wednesday, but the man seen on surveillance video robbing a bank was dressed for winter.

Police were called about 11 a.m. to a robbery at the Woodhaven Bank in the 6300 block of North Beach Street in northeast Fort Worth.

A man wearing a navy blue knit beanie, dark sunglasses and a black sweater walked up to a teller and demanded money, according to a news release from Fort Worth police.

He wore a white T-shirt under the sweater and dark pants over purple gym shorts and “clear plastic gloves like employees at a sandwich shop might wear,” police said.

The man, who was black, was in his mid-20s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighed about 180 pounds.

There were no injuries, nor any description of a weapon.

“The robber left with an undisclosed amount of money,” according to the news release. He “fled on foot and was last seen running westbound” behind a grocery store north of the bank.
