EULESS — Police appealed for help Wednesday to identify armed robbers who may be responsible for as many as five North Texas holdups of residents at apartment complexes and a car wash, stealing smart phones, cash and debit cards.Investigators believe at least four have occurred in Euless, targeting women. The robbers could also be responsible for a holdup in Irving where a man was beaten after items were taken from him.“They seem to be targeting Hispanic women in our city,” said Euless police Lt. Eric Starnes on Wednesday. “Each time they have displayed a handgun.”On June 11, two men arrived at Stevie’s Car Wash in the 300 block of S. Industrial Boulevard and parked in an open bay. A few minutes later, they approached a woman who was cleaning her car, placed a gun to her neck and took an undisclosed amount of cash and other items. Then about 11 p.m. on June 13, investigators believe the same two men confronted a woman at an apartment complex in the 1400 block of El Camino Real Boulevard, put a gun to her head and stole money, her debit card and cell phone.Just 13 minutes later, the suspects used that stolen debit card at businesses in Hurst and North Richland Hills. Authorities believe a woman who is an accomplice of the robbers drove the suspects to the businesses. Photographs from store surveillance cameras at one business captured a picture of her, police said.“We have two other women who were robbed in the city, but they were not able to give us a description,” Starnes said, noting those two also happened last week. “But we believe they are the same suspects.”Authorites also believe the suspects robbed the man in Irving last week. The suspects were driving a 2003- 2006 silver Chevrolet Impala in the June 11 holdup and a 2003-2006 Toyota dark sports utility vehicle in the June 13 robbery.
