A second victim of a Sunday morning shooting at a street corner in northwest Fort Worth has been identified as Francisco Vallejo, 22, of Fort Worth, the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office reported on its website on Monday.

Vallejo died Sunday at John Peter Smith Hospital after being shot in the chest, officials with the medical examiner’s office stated. Vallejo’s death was ruled a homicide.

In addition, Richard Torres, 22, of Fort Worth, was gunned down at the corner and later died Sunday morning at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth. He died from gunshot wounds to his head and neck.

A third man, a 23-year-old who authorities did not identify, also was shot and was being treated Sunday at a local hospital. His condition was not available on Monday.

Police got a call of a shooting about 3 a.m. Sunday in the 2700 block of Azle Avenue and the 2500 block of Kearney Avenue in a store parking lot.

They found that three men had been shot. All the victims were taken to local hospitals, where the two 22-year-old men died.

Police did not release any information on what may have prompted the shooting.

The case remains under investigation.
