Gabriel Rodriguez of Mansfield captured first prize in the News-Mirror’s My Mansfield Photo Contest with this photo of his cousin, Brescia Rodriguez, near Steven’s Garden & Grill before Legacy High School’s masquerade prom. He takes home a $20 gift certificate from Joe’s Family Restaurant.

Do you have a prize-winning photo? We will have 10 more weekly winners who will receive prizes from other local merchants, have their photos appear in the News-Mirror and be featured in a photo exhibit at the Mansfield Historical Museum.

Show us how you see Mansfield -- whether it’s a softball game, fun prom photo, dinner at grandma’s or your adorable pet. At the end of the summer, we’ll have a display of all the winners in a special My Mansfield photo exhibit. We will also feature as many entries as possible on our website, www.mansfieldnewsmirror.com.

Here’s the specifics: Photos must be high-resolution jpegs, at least 200 dpi and at least 8 inches wide, and submitted by noon Friday to arogers@mansfieldnewsmirror.com to be considered for that week’s contest. The photographer’s name, address, e-mail and phone number must accompany each photo. Photos must be taken in Mansfield.

The contest will run through Aug. 23. Family members of News-Mirror or Star-Telegram employees are not eligible.
