Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel is on the cover of the soon-to-be-released Dave Campbell's Texas Football magazine, while three area high school players have made the Preseason Super Team.

On offense, it's All Saints lineman Demetrius Knox, while the defense has lineman Myles Garrett of Arlington Martin and defensive back Edward Paris of Mansfield Timberview.

The longtime favorite of Texas high school football because it previews every team across the state is available on newsstands Friday.

The Preseason Super Team offensive player of the year is Denton Guyer quarterback Jerrod Heard. On defense it's Hebron defensive back Jamal Adams.

Top-ranked preseason teams are Allen (5A), Guyer (4A), Carthage (3A), Newton (2A-DI), East Bernard (2A-DII), Mart (1A-DI), Tenaha (1A-DII), Throckmorton (6-man DI), Grandfalls-Royalty (6-man DII), Nolan Catholic (11-man Private school) and Dallas Covenant (6-man Private school).
