Man fatally hit by rock hauler on Airport Freeway in Haltom City

A man was killed Thursday afternoon when he walked onto the Airport Freeway and was struck by a large truck, Haltom City police reported.

Brandon Fulbright, 30, of Burleson was identified by the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.

It happened about 3:10 p.m. in westbound lanes of the 5900 block of the freeway just west of its intersection with Carson Street, said Sgt. Eric Peters, a police spokesman.

Witnesses told police that the man walked in front of the truck with his arms outstretched, Peters said. He described the truck as a rock hauler.

An ambulance crews responded, but the man was dead at the scene, said Matt Zavadsky, MedStar spokesman.
