Robbery suspect shot in Fort Worth game room

FORT WORTH A man who had been playing video games was shot multiple times early Thursday after he attempted to rob a Fort Worth game room, police said.

The suspect was seriously wounded when he was shot several times by one of the employees in the business.

The holdup occurred shortly before 3 a.m. Thursday in the 5900 block of Ramey Avenue.

After playing games for awhile, the suspect pulled out a handgun, demanded money from one of the employees and started to walk out when he got some cash, police said.

At some point, another employee who had been in another part of the business heard the commotion, brandished a handgun and fired at the suspect. The suspect was hit several times, police said.

The suspect, who faces a charge of aggravated robbery, was taken to a local hospital. His condition was unavailable.

Police did not release the name of the suspect.
