Not if, but when, an accident occurred on Broad Street in front of Lowe’'s Farm has been the question for many Mansfield and Grand Prairie residents.

I travel that road daily and it is a very scary trip each time. The two-lane road with no shoulder serves as a main route for thousands. The road is a main route to four schools right around the corner. Sunday night’s deadly accident was not a matter of how but when was it going to occur.

I am a teacher at one of the schools. My co-workers and I were sick with worry. Was it one of our students? No one wants to think that or feel grief thinking/hoping it was someone else. So the point to this is something has to be done about the road! It needs to be widened ASAP. We’ve heard over the years they PLAN on it. It needs to be done NOW. The neighborhood is growing fast and furiously. I am hoping by reaching out to the local news stations, the City of Mansfield will get the ball rolling now.
