Mansfield community leaders write advice to 17-year-old selves

In Brad Paisley’s 2007 ballad, “Letter to Me,” he writes about what he wishes he could tell himself at age 17.

The country music singer and songwriter sorts through everything from Friday night bonfires and algebra tests to first love and fighting with his dad.

With the recent high school graduations and a whole new crop of seniors, we decided to ask some community leaders, people who have achieved a lot of success, what they wish they could tell their 17-year-old selves.

Pastor Michael Evans, Ann Smith and Felix Wong readily accepted the challenge and their responses are below.
