It’s fight week in the Metroplex.

Both fighters will have an autograph session in Fort Worth on Wednesday. The autograph session will be held at the center court of La Gran Plaza de Fort WorthmMall at 4200 South Freeway from 5:30-7 p.m.

Bob Arum and former heavyweight champion George Foreman are co-promoting the card.

Garcia has fought in Texas four times en route to his 31-0 record. He fought in Laredo and Corpus Christi in 2010, QuikTrip Park in Grand Prairie in 2009 and Houston in 2007. He knows he’ll likely be the crowd favorite.

“It will be very nice to have the support of my fans. I have fought in Texas a few times in my career. The people in the Dallas area have always shown a lot of support. It’s going to be real nice having all those fans there,” Garcia said. “I know they will be coming from different regions in Texas to watch a great night of boxing. It will be great to show the fans who we are as fighters.”

For Lopez, it might the first time in his career when his opponent will have the majority backing from the crowd.

“It doesn’t matter to me. I come to fight,” Lopez said. “I do enjoy having the fans behind me but I know in this fight I may not, but that’s not important to me.”
