City offers prescription drug discount card

A new program offering savings on prescription drugs is being offered to residents who are without health insurance or a benefit plan by the city of Arlington.

The Prescription Discount Card is made available to residents by the city in collaboration with the National League of Cities and is made possible through Arlington’s membership in the organization.

The card is free to all Arlington residents regardless of their age, income or existing health insurance plans.

By using this card residents may save an average of 20 percent off the regular retail price of prescription drugs at participating pharmacies.

Cards are available at these locations:

• The Central Library and all library branches

• All City recreation centers and senior recreation centers

• City Hall

• Animal Services Center

• Arlington Housing Authority

• Mission Arlington

• MHMR of Tarrant County
