McAllen scored three runs in the top of the ninth inning and snuffed a bases-loaded threat in the bottom of the inning to take a come-from-behind 6-5 victory over the Fort Worth Cats at LaGrave Field on Friday night.

The Thunder had three singles, a ground-rule double and a hit batter during the rally.

The Cats threatened in the bottom of the inning by loading the bases.

With one out, Daniel Meeley and David Bergin drew back-to-back walks. Chris Ellison was intentionally walked, loading the bases.

Cameron Monger hit a fly ball to center field. Meeley tried to score on the play, but was thrown out at home plate.

The Cats jumped on the Thunder for four runs in the second inning, highlighted by a three-run triple by Monger.

Greg Bachman started the rally with a single. Meeley followed with a single and Bergin loaded the bases by drawing a walk.

Ellison then cleared the bases with his triple, giving the Cats a 4-0 lead.

Bergin opened the fourth inning with a solo home run.

The Cats fall to 6-2.
