Houston running back Arian Foster strained his right calf during the Texans’ organized team activities.

Foster, who ran for 1,424 yards last season, was injured on the first play of team drills on Tuesday. Coach Gary Kubiak says they will know more about the injury after Foster sees a doctor.

It was unclear exactly how he was injured, but he was taken off the practice field on a cart.

Draft dates changed

The league officially announced that the 2014 draft will be held May 8-10 at Radio City Music Hall because of a scheduling conflict in April at the venue. The NFL has yet to decide on dates for drafts in 2015 and beyond.

The NFL says there will be no significant changes in the dates for other off-season events next year.

• Browns: Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown will return in an unspecified role with Cleveland. Owner Jimmy Haslam is expected to announce Brown’s new position on Wednesday.

• Jaguars: Running back Maurice Jones-Drew has been accused of striking a security guard at a St. Augustine, Fla., restaurant but no criminal charges have been brought.

• Raiders: Cornerback D.J. Hayden, a first-round draft pick out of Houston, remains hospitalized and will miss the rest of off-season workouts following an abdominal procedure last week to remove scar tissue.

• Jets: Running back Mike Goodson practiced with his new Jets teammates for the first time since his arrest May 17 on drugs and weapons charges. The former Texas A&M standout pleaded not guilty to all five counts.

• Seahawks: Tight end Anthony McCoy, who suffered a torn Achilles last week in OTAs, was waived and his roster spot filled by tackle Jake Bscherer.
