Canseco picks up three RBIs to lead Fort Worth Cats over Edinburg

Jose Canseco and Kori Melo had three RBIs apiece, Jeff Sakowski threw five innings of one-hit ball, and the Cats completed a four-game sweep of the Edinburg Roadrunners with a 9-4 win on Sunday night at LaGrave Field.

Canseco and Melo also added doubles in the fourth and sixth frames.

Sakowski (1-0) earned the win for the Cats allowing no runs with a strikeout and no walks.

The Cats broke through in the fourth inning, touching up Roadrunners pitchers Makota Ozone and Taylor Reid for two runs each in the four-run inning.

The Cats continue the homestand with a four game series against the White Wings on Tuesday night at 7:05.
