WPD seeks help in solving crimes

On April 20, at approximately 6 p.m., an unidentified white male forged a stolen check at Super Save grocery store located at 102 College Park Ave in Weatherford. The Weatherford Police Department is asking the community’s help in identifying this suspect.

Also, on May 11, WPD responded to Parker County Courthouse Annex on Santa Fe Drive and the 1100 block of South Main Street in reference to graffiti. Officers were informed that unknown subject(s) painted "For Higher Taxes" on Weatherford ISD Bond P.A.C. banners that were placed at the County Courthouse Annex and "Money Rules us all; and that needs to change" on the bridge just off of Main Street, next to the WISD Ninth Grade Center. Six smaller signs that were placed from the 1900 block of Clear Creek to the 2200 block of Clear Creek and the 300 block of West Russell Street were damaged as well.

The Weatherford Police Department is encouraging anyone who may have information on these crimes or any other criminal activity to contact the Weatherford Police Department at (817) 598-4300 or Parker County Crime Stoppers at (817) 599-5555 or 1-800-942-STOP.

Up to a $1,000 reward will be paid for information about this crime and you may remain anonymous.
