All lanes of Haltom Road at its intersection with Northeast Loop 820 will be closed overnight Tuesday and Wednesday while crews install beams for a new bridge.

The road will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to a news release from the contractor building the North Tarrant Express.

Also, traffic on the loop may be stopped intermittently. “Drivers should anticipate delays and exercise extreme caution in the area,” the news release said.

Traffic on southbound Haltom Road will be redirected to North Beach Street; northbound traffic will be redirected to U.S. 377 (Denton Highway).

After the bridge work is finished Thursday morning, contractors will permanently close the westbound Loop 820 on-ramp at North Beach. A temporary on-ramp was installed between Haltom Road and North Beach last month. Bill Miller
