Fort Worth and Arlington fire department dive teams were looking for a possible drowning victim late Saturday using sonar and thermal imaging on the far west side of Lake Arlington.

Fort Worth police were called about 8:45 p.m. by a witness who said a man fell out of a boat and went under water, according to police dispatch.

The missing boater launched a canoe at Eugene McCray Park in east Fort Worth, according to a Fort Worth fire department spokesman.

As of 10:30 p.m., neither a victim nor boat had been found.

The search was suspended around midnight with plans for crews to resume the search at daylight.

Colorado motorcyclist killed

in Denton County collision

A helmet-less Coloradan was killed early Saturday in Justin when a car crashed into his motorcycle, said Lonny Haschel, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman.

Shawn Little, 39, of Denver, was southbound on Farm Road 156 when a 2007 Hyundai traveling east on Sam Reynolds Road failed to yield, said Haschel.

The car turned in front of the motorcycle, causing a crash that ejected Little.

The motorcycle came to rest in the northbound lane of FM 156 where it was then struck by a 2005 Volkswagen.

Little died at the scene, Haschel said. No other injuries were reported by DPS.

No charges had been filed Saturday and the crash remains under investigation.
