Arlington Colts

2012: 10-3, lost in Class 5A Division II Region I regional

Spring game: May 30, 6 p.m.

The Colts are returning several key players from a very successful 2012 squad.

Despite losing first team all-state middle linebacker Sammy Douglas (TCU) and quarterback Connor Huffman to graduation, coach Scott Peach is most concerned about several new faces up front on both sides of the ball.

"Our offensive line and defensive line-we have a lot of spots to replace," Peach said. "We’re going to have to get pretty serious there and get caught up quick."

Arlington does return a standout defensive lineman in Darron Harris. The Colts are also bringing back experience in the secondary led by strong safety Ced Jones and cornerback Corey Bernard.

On offense, Michael Gray is moving over to quarterback after starting at slot receiver for three seasons. Running back Raymond Sheard returns after rushing for 672 yards and nine touchdowns last season as a sophomore.

Home run hitter Isaiah Baker is also coming back after catching 29 passes for 607 yards (21 yards per catch) and five scores.
