The driver of a sport utility vehicle was killed early Monday in a three-car collision at the intersection of Park Row Drive and South Fielder Road, police reported.

The wreck was reported about 7:30 a.m.

The driver’s SUV, northbound on Fielder Road, entered the intersection and struck a car that had been southbound and was turning left. Then the SUV struck a third vehicle and the signal light pole in the northeast corner of the intersection, police said.

The driver of the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s name had not been released by late Monday. The drivers of the other two vehicles had minor injuries.

The intersection was closed until late afternoon while workers repaired the damaged signal pole.
