Siding with crackpots

You’d think that a majority of the U.S. Senate, mostly Republicans, wouldn’t side with Iran, Syria and North Korea on anything.

But now they are, siding with those countries and their crackpot leaders in opposing an international arms-trafficking treaty agreed to by 153 nations, including the United States.

Sixty-seven senators — a two-thirds majority — are required to ratify the treaty, but because these senators are siding with Iran, Syria and North Korea, it won’t pass.
