Cheers: To XTO Energy for hosting the 42nd Swift Retiree Reunion on March 23. The company provided lunch and a tour of the refurbished Swift & Co. building, which it occupies. Thanks to Peter Tunnard, Cathy Clements and staff, and Warren and Pat Davenport, who organized the annual event. The event was enjoyed by retirees and their families.

— Ann Freeman, Fort Worth

Cheers: To the anonymous person who paid for our dinner at Dickey’s BBQ on Precinct Line Road April 24. I arrived from Michigan to visit my mother (and go to the Pate Swap Meet). Dickey’s is a Texas specialty, and your generosity made it even more enjoyable.

— Arsey Miller, Clarkston, Mich.

Cheers: To Arlington Sewing Machine on Main Street. I brought in my sewing machine with a small problem. The technician fixed it on the spot and sent me on my way without charge. They are the best.

— Lynda Bruce, Everman
