The East Parker County Chamber of Commerce is proud to produce the Boomin’ 4th Celebration again in 2013. This year’s Boomin’ 4th comes fun-filled and action-packed. Dana Bowman, Special Forces soldier and member of the US Army Parachute Team The Golden Knights, will be making his way to town from above to ramp up this celebration of freedom.

Persons interested in a chance to try out their daredevil-ing skills are welcome to enter in a drawing to jump tandem from 10,000 feet with a U.S. Navy Seal at 8:30 on the evening of the celebration. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the East Parker County Chamber office – only 650 tickets will be sold.

This year’s vendors will include Aledo Church of Christ, it’s members will be offering face painting, Hudson Oaks Volunteer Fire Department, Julie Bean’s Ice Cream Bus, North Texas Kona Ice, and Parker County ESD # 3. Sponsors include Jerry’s GM, Charlie Gilchrist’s SouthWest Auto Group, City of Hudson Oaks, The Village at Crown Park, 95.9 The Ranch, 92.1 Hank FM and Katy Keenie.

The event will be held at the Gene L. Voyles Park in Hudson Oaks on July 4 from 6 –10 p.m.

Community members are “tickled down to their toes” about the upcoming Boomin’ 4th. Vick Glagg Laster was an attendee at last year’s festival.

“Thank you for the incredible Boomin’ 4th!” Laster said. “I have a renewed pride in my fellow Americans because you could have heard a pin drop during the invocation and color guard. Thanks for making this available.”

Another attendee of last year’s celebration was thrilled.

“The prayer, the anthem, the music you played to the fireworks was amazing along with the spectacular firework display,” Mary Sheldon said. “There just isn't any words to explain how amazing it was and joy of the experience.”

Think this year is going to one-up last year’s? “You betcha.”
