The Atlantic Coast Conference has set its bowl lineup for its first season as a 14-team league.The league announced Monday that it will have eight guaranteed bowl slots and a conditional deal for a ninth bowl.The league champion will go to the Orange Bowl if it is not in the national title game. If only one ACC team makes a BCS bowl, the next pick belongs to the Chick-fil-A Bowl.The Russell Athletic Bowl picks next, followed by the Sun, Belk, Music City, Advocare V100 — formerly the Independence — and Military bowls.The league also has a conditional deal with the Fight Hunger Bowl if either the Pac-12 or BYU can’t fulfill its commitment.Men’s golfThe TCU men’s golf team received an at-large selection to the Pullman, Wash., regional in the NCAA tournament on Monday for its 24th consecutive postseason appearance. The Horned Frogs were seeded second in the 14-team field.The UNT men’s golf team, champions of the Sun Belt Conference, also received a bid to the Pullman regional, which will be played at Palouse Ridge Golf Club, as a No. 7 seed, marking the Mean Green’s 31st tournament appearance.UT Arlington golfer and WAC individual champion Paul McConnell will compete in the Fayetteville, Ark., regional at the Blessings Golf Club.Both regionals will take place May 16-18. The top five teams in each region will advance to the NCAA championship May 28-June 2 in Alpharetta, Ga.Women’s golfTCU women’s golf announced the signing of Alex White to a national letter of intent.A native of Honolulu, White is a four-time champion at American Junior Golf Association tournaments. She also captured eight titles at AJGA qualifiers and four championships on the Golfweek Junior Tour.
