The Weatherford school district wants you to approve a bond issue of $107 million on Saturday. This bond proposal is not a conservative approach. We will have to pay on it until 2044.

The new Career Technical Education Center is $263 a square foot. A ninth-grade addition to the high school, which includes yet another gym, is over $225 per square foot.

We need individuals who are willing not only to ask questions of those who are giving them information but also to seek out experts in the field to find out if these are standard costs.

From my understanding, the new building at the college cost only $160 per square foot, so $263 and $225 seem a little excessive.

I know Joshua Tarbay and Philip Newkirk stand alone in opposing this bond. Vote against the bond, and elect Tarbay and Newkirk!
