In response to Paul Sellers’ April 19 letter, “Casinos in Texas”: I love the idea of having casinos in Texas. However, to imply that a tragedy in which dozens were injured and some were killed would not have happened if we had casinos nearby is ridiculous.

How can you take an incident that resulted in deaths to push your unrelated agenda?

This could have happened regardless of where the bus was going and whom it was carrying. If the passengers were not the elderly going to a casino, they could have been children going on a field trip. The casino aspect is irrelevant.
