As part of a 30-day book tour, celebrity chef Maneet Chauhan made a stop at Byron Nelson High School Friday.

Chef Chauhan hosted a classic cooking competition for culinary arts academy students. The young chefs had 40 minutes to create an entrée that represents contemporary American cuisine.

The winner was given a set of Guenter Wilhelm knives and advances to the final round in Washington. D.C. The winner of the finals will spend the day cooking with one of the featured chefs of the White House Chef Tour.
